Enjoy the latest blob by the Avid Traveller: In the Autumn of 2024, Calum Glenny,the Avid Travellrer embarked on a whirlwind 72-hour journey to Madrid with buddies, starting with a dynamic, history-filled city exploration. Our centrally located hotel on Calle de Atocha made it simple to access Madrid's cultural and cooking highlights. Walking through dynamic squares, we immersed ourselves in the city's history and lively atmosphere. Our group's diverse choices led to different activities. Suzanne and Richard started the firstday one evening with a remarkable dinner at Bodega de los Secretos, a relaxing, centuries-old dining establishment full of appeal. The following my other half and I joined a tapas and wine walking tour led by the enthusiastic Mario. We went to several local hotspots, including a mushroom specialty bar and an Iberian delicatessen, while finding out about Madrid's history and culture.
